I've just published what I hope will be the first of an ongoing monthly series of videos I’m calling ‘Hidden Gems’.
Most of what we see on YouTube is brought to our attention by algorithms that filter the many millions of videos that are available. Inevitably, a few videos get most of the views, but this is not necessarily a reflection of the quality of the videos. There are high quality videos that get very few views.
Each month I want to share with you some of the art related videos that you might not get to see because of YouTube’s algorithms - the hidden gems of YouTube art videos.
You, my subscribers can help me with this project by sending me links to art related videos you have discovered that have very few views, and which have been newly published. So, for example, please leave links to videos published in February 2019 in the comments section of my Hidden Gems video. If by the end of February these videos have failed to reach a good number of viewers I will include them in the ‘Hidden Gems’ series published in March. Hopefully, we can do this each month.
These videos can be anything art related, from tutorials about art techniques, to videos about artists, or art history, and so on.
I hope you will enjoy this series of videos, and thank you for leaving your links below.
Here are the links to the videos I discovered last month, which you may enjoy:
1 - George Rodriguez, A Life In Art
2 “draw with charcoal 4 tips on drawing with charcoal drawing tutorials”
3 - "My Grandpa"
4 - Art Tech Documentary
5 - Starting Documentary Photography
6 - A Potter | Short Documentary of a Potter in Nepal
7 - Bydee Man | Arts in Context Shorts
8 - "The Light". Art in Uzbekistan.
