What is AJ making?  Part One

I just published the first of a series of videos about my student AJ's new piece.  It is an unusual process, and one that will only become clear towards the end of the making (we hope! - this is all very experimental); so, I posted the first video as a sort of puzzle to be solved.

It looks like she's making a collage but not one that creates a scene.

I think AJ is making something representing some of her culture. she so far has used collages and painting and I think she will continue to do so. so far it looks like something that might pull apart, move in some way etc.

It looks like a decollage because she is putting the strings under it which will later be pulled out
